Maryland Color Guard

The Maryland Color Guard provides the visual flare that adds finishing touches to MSOM's performances through flag work combined with dance moves.

FALL SEMESTER - The Color Guard, along with the rest of MSOM,  begins practice a week prior to the first day of classes with Early Week. Once classes start, MSOM has outdoor practices Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 3 to 5 p.m, and on Tuesday from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.  The Color Guard also has sectional practice at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center on Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. On gameday weekends the Color Guard  performs both pre-game and half-time shows at Maryland Stadium as part of MSOM. Maryland Feature Twirlers

The Maryland Feature Twirlers are made up of some of the most talented twirlers in the country. Our award-winning twirlers combine high energy choreography with amazing feats of tossing and hand-eye coordination. MFT's perform at football game activities and select basketball games.

Twirlers are expected to have significant training and expertise. Auditions usually occur in the spring.

Maryland Dance Team

The Maryland Dance Team incorporates styles of funk, jazz, cheer dance, and poms in their performances at home football and basketball games with the Marching Band and Pep Band.

Members are expected to have a strong background of dance experience and training. Auditions usually occur in the spring.
